These beautifully hand embossed journals are perfect for use as a diary, travel journal, recipe book or scrapbook. Each one is crafted by hand and filled with approximately 125 pages of unlined, handmade khadda paper.
The embossing has been done with small individual handmade tools, making each journal unique. The pattern might not be the same as on the image but will be just as lovely and carefully made.
The paper used in these journals is handmade using recycled cotton leftover from the massive garment industry in India. It is acid-free because we only use unbleached cotton and it produces a beautiful paper, easy to write, draw or paint on. However, we don't recommend using a fountain pen with this type of handmade paper.
Due to the handmade nature of these products, colour and designs may slightly vary, but loveliness comes as standard.

All Pper High's leather journals are handmade by a small family business in Rajasthan, India. They have been expertly crafted using a mixture of contemporary and traditional methods and the pages have been bound by hand so they are strong and perfect for travelling.
They are fortunate enough to visit them every year, having worked with them for many years following Fair Trade guidelines. They are able to provide people in rural villages fairly paid work that may have otherwise been difficult to find, and consider the producers and their families true friends.
The paper in all our journals and photo albums is made by a charity in rural Rajasthan that promotes women’s education and their social standing in the rural villages. For more information about the sustainable materials used, take a look at the product description.
By making a purchase, you are helping to continue the fantastic work of the producers.
